Latino Empowerment and Advancement Development Program
Program Purpose
This exclusive and limited class builds civic awareness and leadership skills. It allows participants an opportunity to become community advocates who can affect the types of proactive changes required to create equity, opportunity, and a better quality of life for everyone in Northern Nevada.
Goals
· To identify emerging Latino leaders and expose them to other community leaders with opportunities in community development and decision-making.
· To engage Latino leaders in hands-on intern leadership experiences on policy-making bodies that can allow them to accept future community leadership roles.
· To mentor, nurture and promote Latino business owners, corporate professionals and students for effective leadership and service on public and private policy-making bodies.
